6/4 chords, cadences & a bit of good form

Hi Everyone,

We'll have a quiz this Friday over 6/4 chords as well as cadences. I might also have you do a bit of formal analysis, depending on how class goes today (a, a', etc.)

Types of 6/4 chords:
Passing - bass "passing through" - moving stepwise
Arpeggiated - chord stays same, goes through inversions thus creating the 6/4 2nd inversion
Pedal - bass stays same while upper voices move stepwise & return
Cadential - I64 -> V -> I

Types of Cadences:
Perfect Authentic (PAC): V-I w/ 1 in soprano
Imperfect Authentic (IAC): V-I w/ 3 or 5 in soprano
Inverted IAC: same as above w/ one or both chords inverted
Leading tone IAC: vii0 - I
Half (HC): ?-V
Plagal (PC): IV-I
Phrygian Half (PHC): iv6-V in minor
Deceptive (DC): V-vi
